Announcement of Awards and Appointment of New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholars for Studies in Greece (Academic Year 2009–2010)
The Board of Directors of the John S. Latsis Ileians’ Scholarships Foundation convened on 30.11.2009 and decided to endow 5 new annual grants of € 3.000 each to Ileian students who achieved an A grade average in their university entrance exams and obtained over 19,500 points towards attending a Greek university (AEI).
This award is granted to acknowledge and reward the efforts of Ileian students who do not conform to the standard selection criteria for Foundation scholars.
The Board of Directors approved conferring these awards to the following students:

• Andreas Petrou KOUTROULIS
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Dentistry
• Maria Angelou BILIRI
Athens University of Economics and Business, Department of Management Science and Technology
• Eleni Konstantinou PANAGOPOULOU
National Technical University of Athens, School of Civil Engineering
• Evgenia Charalambous KOTSIFA
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Medicine
During that same meeting, the Board, after taking into consideration candidates’ university entrance examination grades, their declared family income, the Lykeion (secondary school) they graduated from, as well as various social criteria, decided to grant 52 new undergraduate scholarships.

The Board also selected 3 new scholars from the Foundation’s undergraduate scholars to begin postgraduate studies in Greece, after taking into consideration their degree grade point and declared family income.

The Board of Directors’ above decisions to appoint new scholars will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs and to the Region of Attiki for final approval, according to the Foundation’s Rules of Procedure.
