Call for scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Greece (academic year 2009-2010)
1. UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
As it does every year, the John S. Latsis Ileians’ Scholarships Foundation will grant for the academic year 2009–2010:
a) 45 new one-year scholarships to first-year students attending Greek Institutions of Higher Education. The scholarships will be extended according to the scholars’ performance, following a relevant decision of the Foundation’s Board.
b) 5 new one-year scholarships to students in their second year or later, who had not been selected as Foundation scholars during their first year of study, received a minimum average grade of 8.5 during the previous academic year(s), and have no incomplete courses.
Undergraduate scholarships are granted according to the terms of the Foundation’s Articles of Incorporation to eligible Ileian students, preferably graduates of Lykeia from Ileia Prefecture, or of Lykeia outside the Prefecture of Ileia, and who meet the selection requirements set by the Foundation Board.
2. POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The John S. Latsis Ileians’ Scholarships Foundation will grant, during the academic year 2009-2010, 3 new one-year scholarships, for postgraduate studies in Greece -which may be extended, following the decision of the Board- to its scholars who have already completed their graduate studies in Greek Institutions of Higher Education achieving “Very Good” as minimum degree grade.
APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Applications for the above scholarships, accompanied by all necessary supporting documentation, must be submitted to the Foundation Secretariat no later than Friday, October 9, 2009.
